so the puppy is really starting to get an idea of the whole potty training bit - he's actually starting to go to the door every time he needs to potty, that's pretty exciting, because i'm tired of cleaning up messes! hehe.
jace is growing like a sprout (sideways more than lengthwise!) i'm not sure what we're feeding him exactly, it doesn't seem like much but boy does he have those chunky thighs! he's so cute and he's getting so smart. in fact just in the last week, he's started sitting up all by himself (like from his tummy), he's just started crawling, and now he's learning how to wave! every day it's something new and every day is more exciting! i love being a mom so much and he's my daily reminder as to why. what a blessing he is! and just gets cuter every day!
so chris preached at church this past sunday, and he did awesome!!! i am so proud of him. he just puts so much passion and energy into his sermons every time he preaches and i admire that about him so much.
my dad and his family was here this past weekend, and we had such a wonderful time, the only hangup is that it was too short! they were only able to stay through the day sunday and then had to leave monday morning, so that was a bummer, but they took full advantage of the short time that they were here and bought a puppy too! in fact they bought dungy's brother! so funny! my dad has never been an impulsive person but buying dungy's brother definitely was surprising! it was so cute though because as soon as they brought the puppy to our house, him and dungy were wrestling all over the place! you could tell they already missed eachother! it was really cute!
well i've got lots to do before jace gets up from his nap, but just had to update =)

DUNGY!!!
so if you've read my husbands blog, you already know that we got a puppy!!! pretty exciting i know... then again it really doesn't take much to get me excited. He's the cutest puppy ever! he's about 15 pounds, with golden soft furr, and he has the cutest little face!
also exciting, jace seriously almost started crawling today! he almost took a step... so maybe that doesn't sound big, but he was going backward so i'm happy with that! =)
gotta cut it super short because i haven't made dinner for my sweetie yet and it's getting kinda late, but i just wanted to share the fun news!!

life is good
so how about i hit the mall yesterday with a vengence!! i'm not usually a crazy mall shopper, but i had this coupon that of coarse i had to use... it was $25 off!! so you already know i was hitting the clearance racks!! haha! i ended up pretty successful if i do say so myself. i left lerner new york and co. with 8 tops and a pair of sandals and i spent just under $50. (which was more than i intended but once i got started i just couldn't stop!)
coming home to show chris all that i got was kinda nerve racking just because i had only asked to spend 25, but i was hoping that maybe he had forgot! of coarse because my husband is such a doll, i told him how much i had spent, and he didn't seem to mind at all. i have to say i'm pretty lucky to have such a generous husband. not that i'm always "needing" things, but chris has always been great about letting me get stuff if he knows its something i really have my heart set on. He's never stingy, and i really appreciate that about him. i think its that reason alone that i never get the urge to run up a credit card or something... you know?
so the last night, for our anniversary we went to the cheesecake factory which was absolutely delicious! i never leave there unsatisfied. i got the chicken piccata and chris got orange chicken. then we ended the meal perfectly by splitting a delectable slice of white chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake - YUM!!!!
then we hit the golf coarse.... well putt-putt actually, and we had so much fun. its so great when you're married to your best friend and even the smallest things can be so enjoyable =)
needless to say he beat me! by ONE stroke if i might add!!! hahaha..... i might as well face it - he'll always beat me! at the end of the night, it didn't matter, the only thing that mattered was the fact that we had fun, which we don't always make time for, but we're doing better now that jace is getting older.
all in all, our anniversary was wonderful. it's so amazing to spend life with someone you love and admire so much. life is good =)

Happy Anniversary!
So today is our 4 year anniversary and i seriously can't believe it. wow! Time truly goes by way too fast!
Being married to Chris these past four years of my life, have been the shortest years of my life, yet they've been the most memorable. From our honeymoon, to the fun trips we've taken (Canada, Argentina, Belgium, France.... just to name a few!) to living in three different states, and above all that welcoming our beautiful son Jace into the world - so many thoughts and feelings flood my mind, but a few words stick out to me: love, luck and life.
There's no one I love more than my men! Chris is such a great husband, my best friend, and an amazing father. Every time I wake up in the morning and I roll over to see him sleeping, I feel like I'm taking back to our first night together! This love thing Never gets old! In fact sometimes he'll kinda wake up and he'll see me staring at him and he just says, "what?" and there's never really anything! I just love him and can't help but stop and think about how lucky I am.
And Jace, well, the love I have for him is unlike anything I've ever felt before! There's nothing like looking down at that little face and seeing those wide eyes full of love, adoration, and adventure! He's always doing something new - good and bad, but even the bad is cute!!! And I see Chris in him so much! It's impossible not to love him and just holding him sometimes makes me feel all the love I could ever need.
Some people don't believe in luck.... well I sorta don't. I know that God orchestrates everything, but its just hard not to feel lucky when you have the husband you always prayed for and the son you've always dreamed of! So whether it was luck or not, I just feel lucky! =)
Life can be so tiresome, and so fast! But recently becoming a stay at home mom has really allowed me to slow down and take life in at a little more of a slow pace and it's been great! Capturing every moment of Jace development has been irreplaceable. Even if its the smallest stuff. Yesterday he started doing this new cry where instead of just dropping his mouth open and sticking out that pathetic bottom lip, he was like crying and biting his top lip at the same time and he seriously looked like a little old man who forgot to put in his dentures! Wow, the things that make your well up with love when you're a mom! May sound boring, but what a life! Watching my son is the greatest reward. He makes me love life!
Not only is being a mom one of my favorite things in life, but being involved in ministry with Chris has been quite the adventure as well! You haven't heard a preacher until you've heard my husband - he's incredible. His passion is one of the reasons I was so attracted to him before we started dating, and that passion never dies out, and I love it! I've heard him preach probably 500 times and he still has me captivated. God has truly blessed him with so many gifts, and I'm so proud to partner with him as we use our gifts for the Lord. There's nothing he can't do once he sets his mind to it, and I just know, with the Lord's help, Chris is going to do so many Amazing things in ministry and in life! Thank you baby for living life with me! I'm proud to support you and I love you!
